Our testing standard
Every tool on this site is personally tested by our team before it's listed. We actually open it, run a real task, and note what works and what doesn't. We cover PDF, image, text, converters, calculators, and more — the everyday tools people search for.
What we always tell you
For every tool we list, we answer the questions that actually matter:
- ✓ How much does it cost — really? (Free tier limits, hidden paywalls)
- ✓ Do you need an account?
- ✓ Where do your files go? (Local browser processing vs. uploaded to servers)
- ✓ What's genuinely good, and what's genuinely annoying?
- ✓ Who should use it — and who should look elsewhere
A note on our own tools
Some tools on this site are built by our team. They're listed under the same rules, rated by the same standard, and given no special placement or badge. If a review of our own product seems critical, that's intentional — we'd rather be honest than look good.
